More Humble Bits

Covid19 may have decimated our scale of activities but not our spirits.

On 15-Aug-2020, two of our volunteers planted native tree saplings in their neighbourhood. They have been regularly planting and nurturing saplings in the stretch for more than two weeks now.

With the addition of around 10 saplings yesterday including mango, peepal, kadi patta, baheda, arjun, siras; the total count so far is 24. And it won't stop here! There is a lot to add with their continuous efforts.

You can do this too... Look for a spot near your place and plant some native tree saplings. Also, don't forget to water them regularly.

You can also raise saplings at your homes so that we have a great bank of saplings to plant for next year's monsoon.

Let's not allow this pandemic to put a hold on our environmental responsibilities! Let's keep doing our bit wherever we are!

What happens when many hands come together?

An exciting day for us. We never tried it before at this scale at such a location. But with a little help from everyone the day turned out to be outstanding! The place is Janakpuri District Center. It's a large shopping center in west Delhi. Home to various kinds of shops, eateries, restaurants and even offices. Also, a perpetual victim of civil negligence by those who have an establishment here or the visitors to these establishments. Yes, the place maintains consistency all-year round in terms of open garbage dumping. Before we even conducted this drive we spoke to a lot of shop owners to understand the problem. It was the same lamenting around people's attitude towards littering liberally... Forget littering, people found creative ways to dump their garbage - office letter boxes! Spotfix at CP

Date: 25-June-2016 No. of Volunteers: 29 Time: 2 Hours We were invited by India@75 team (a CII initiative) to participate in their cleanliness drive at CP. Our enthusiastic team of volunteers showed up in big numbers and removed paan-stains from pillars at inner circle in CP. We also painted them to restore their look. Our volunteers also spoke to some of the local vendors sitting around and big showrooms such as those of United Colors Of Benetton and Asian Paints and requested them all to help clean the surroundings clean. It'll only help their business after-all.
